Think, Teach, Thrive: A Handbook for Christians in Education is an educator’s guide. It is a tool in teaching and learning to promote:
-
reflection
-
conversation
-
transformation
It is our goal that those in the vocation of reaching and teaching, and leading the next generation of learners would apply the knowledge herein to their unique setting; becoming conduits of change within their sphere of influence and making a lasting impact in the lives of their students, as they pursue excellence in education for the glory of God.
Our purpose in writing this book is threefold:
-
First, we desire to equip educators with tools for lasting change, as you identify distinct philosophies of education that influence your pedagogy or instruction as an educator.
-
Second, the goal of this text is to provide you with practical application of these theories in real-world settings, giving a biblical view of each.
-
Third, we expectantly wish to give glory to God by helping His people to become even more useful instruments in His hand, advancing the work of reaching and teaching the next generations by His grace and for His glory.
We hope that this book will encourage and equip you and your students. We also pray that this book will serve as a guide through challenging seasons, provide a framework of best practices in Christian education, and offer a fresh perspective of how to integrate a breadth of philosophical, Scriptural, and practical contributions—even now, in this generation and in the generations to come.

We are humbled and grateful to the body of Christ (pastors, friends, family, professors, mentors, and colleagues) who have made invaluable contributions to our lives and leadership.

We thank God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit for entrusting us with this volume, allowing us to persevere, and working with us (Mark 16:20) in completing this project for His glory!
Grateful to be serving Him together,
Keith & Connie
